The Orion/Asfaw Endowment Fund

The Orion/Asfaw Endowment Fund was established through the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain in memory of two amazing Champions, whose dedication to education, advocacy and exemplified excellence.  The purpose of the fund will be to provide financial assistance to college bound youth, peer-leaders or young entrepreneurs whose business has a social justice component. The fund will be a component of the WWYN’s career technical education (CTE) initiatives and will be coordinated with the financial aid offices of higher educational institutions as needed.

Corporate Giving Campaign

WWYN has played an important role in developing youth leadership, promoting digital equity and championing the digital arts and sciences. WWYN strives to uphold its mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We base our network on our 4 Pillars of Empowerment which help youth achieve success and advocate for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive digital world.  Our 4 Pillars include,  Collaboration, Community Building, Youth Voice Critical Conscious & Youth Development,  and Digital Equity & Representation. All donations go to the operation of the Network, specifically programming that directly impacts our youth.

Change the Game, Game for Change

WWYN and Nutmeg State Games, the 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to providing opportunities for youth of "different ages, socioeconomic and cultural groups through athletic competition and the Olympic spirit, have teamed up to bring Esports to the "the largest amateur multi-sport sporting event in Connecticut."  Our goal is to create equitable access in youth Esports and  you can help by supporting children in marginalized communities, in New Britain & Hartford, to achieve their greatest potential by competing on the Sate's stage.
